Let's Party! - Lawnscaping Challenge #133 Mood Board Inspired

Hellooo... It's time for another card challenge. It's a birthday card theme inspired by the mood image board from the current Lawnscaping Challenge #133.

The challenge this week is to create something based on the board below. Click on the image to learn more about Lawnscaping Challenges.

My first thought when I approached this card was to incorporate the colours from the inspiration image and make it the focal point. That is why I used distress inks on the background and kept the images very light so the background can stand out.

I blended the background on watercolour paper which I then cut it using the stitched rectangle die. I used the same die on black cardstock and trimmed it keeping only the top and bottom. Then I used a border die to create the line of holes and attached it the background with foam tape.

I glued a piece of string behind the banner so it looks like the elephant and rabbit is holding it. Lastly, I adhered all the coloured images on to the card.

- Mama Elephant - Ella & Friends stamp
- Lawn Fawn - Party Animals stamp for the sentiment
- Lawn Fawn - Blue Skies stamp for the banner

Panda in the Sun - Color Throwdown # 400

I am back with another card for the Color Throwdown Challenge. This week's colours are Red, Green and White. Neutrals colours are free to use. It features the panda from Mama Elephant's Pandamonium stamp set and Lawn Fawn's Life is Good stamp set.

To create this card, I used an embossing folder to create the raise dotted background. Then, I stamped the images and coloured them in with copic markers. I used the ScanNCut machine to cut the images out since I didn't have the coordinating dies.

I adhered the images to the background. The panda was fully covered in glossy accents and propped up with foam squares. The sentiment was glued onto two stripes of green and gray cardstock that was taped together in the back.

Materials used:
- Mama Elephant - Pandamonium stamp
- Lawn Fawn - Life is Good stamp

Monkey Appreciation - Color Throwdown # 399

Helloooo. I am back with another card for the Color Throwdown Challenge. It features a sweet baby monkey sitting on a balloon holding a present.

This is my first time entering the weekly challenge. This week's colors are red, pale yellow, chocolate, and kraft. The photo for the inspired colors looked so sweet and delicious. If you like to learn more about the challenge you can click on the photo below.

I started off with die cutting a white card base. Then I stamped the images with Memento ink and colored it in with copic and spectrum noir markers. I use red embossing powder on the monkey's hat. I did the same to the balloon but it's on watercolor paper instead. I used distress inks to color in the balloon letting it dry in between each coat as to achieve the layers look. Then I fussy cut them all out leaving no white outline.

I worked the distress ink squeezed lemonade in circular motions to create the highlighting effect behind the images. Then I stamped the sentiment and balloon string and adhered the stamped images with 3D foam squares to prop it up. I adhered the base to a top folding printed cardstock paper and stamped the mini hearts. Lastly, I covered the hat, present and hearts in glossy accents. This card is complete :)

- Mama Elephant - Lunar Animal stamp - for the monkey and hat
