Have a Dino-Mite Birthday - MFT Sketch Challenge 321

Hey everyone. I am back with another card. It's a birthday card for my cousin and it is inspired by the latest MFT sketch challenge.
Here is this week's sketch for the challenge.
I started with an A2 size panel and die cut the 3 stitched circles in the background and then taped it in the back to secure it back to its original A2 size. Next, I used distress inks to blend the colours together then flicked water to distress the ink and also speckled some white paint to give it some contrast.
Next, I stamped out the images and coloured them in with copic markers. As well as, die cut the skyline and water. The water was blended with distress inks in Peacock Feathers and Mermaid Lagoon then speckled with water. The sentiment was stamped with versamark ink and heat embossed in white embossing powder on a black rectangle cardstock.
To put the card together, I glued the bottom half of the T-Rex and the bottom of the cake to the card. Then I used double sided foam tape on the top half as to give it some dimension. Next, I adhered the skyline with double sided foam tape to make it pop. The water was done the same. As a final touch, I used wink of stella and glossy accents on the birthday cake frosting.
That completes the card. I hope you participate in the challenge too.

Vroom, Vroom... You Make My Heart Race!

I like to share with you a special card I made for Valentine's day for a someone who loves the Formula 1 sport. Isn't it just the cutest...
This is my first slider card and it is a collaboration of so many different stamp sets to create the scene. Look at car goooooo...
I first started off with finding a race car as that would be my focal point. I didn't own a stamp of a race car so I turned to google clipart images to look for one. I was going to put my own character, the fox from the Mama Elephant Up and Away stamp set in the driver seat, so I sized the car big enough for it to fit, then printed it out on white cardstock. I coloured the images with copic markers and attached them together with glue. Lastly, I added glossy accents to the tires and set it aside to let dry.
Next, I worked on the panel. This card panel is bigger than the A2 size I usually work with. It is 5" x 6.5" so I had a lot of room to work with to build the scene. I used a hill die from SimonSaysStamp Stitched Slopes and Hills and used it like a ruler to sketch out the race track. This way the curves would all be the same size. After, I used the distress inks to blend the sky and the grass and then coloured in the rack track with copic markers and wink of stella. I just love how the wink of stella made the rack track sparkle in the light.

Next, it was time to cut out the sliding part. I didn't have a die for this so I just used the hill die again as my ruler to mark the perimeter and then carefully cut it out. Now it was time for the scary part because I only had one shot at it or else I had to start all over. I used the largest double stitched rectangle die to cut out another smaller panel from the original.
I attached the car to the smaller panel making sure that the car back and front doesn't pass over the sides of the card and added double sided foam tape on the back. Then, I stamped, coloured and cut out the poles and triangle banner for the background. I adhered it to the panel with glue and trimmed the poles to the same height of the card. Lastly, glossy accents was added to the triangle banners.

For the sentiment, I used the HoneyBee sentiment alpha stamp to spell it out the words. I love how this set gives so many multiple letters. It makes creating words so easily and all at once. I used versamark ink to stamp it on black cardstock and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. Final touch is adhering it to the card with foam tape.

That completes the card. It was so much fun to move the racing car back and forth.

Hey Chick! - MFT Sketch Challenge #320

Hello. Today's card is for the My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge 320. I used the Stepped Up Chevron die and The Whole Herd stamp by MFT.
Here is the sketch for this week's challenge. I hope you try it too.
To create the card, I triple die cut each cardstock colour using the Stepped Up Chevron die and glued it together to make it thicker so it has some depth. The sentiment was embossed in white on black cardstock and adhered to the card with foam squares.
Lastly, I stamped the chick from the Whole Herd stamp set so it looks like it walking up the steps. I coloured it in with copic markers and wink of stella. Then finished it off with glossy accents.
Here are the materials used:
- My Favorite Things - Die-namics Stepped Up Chevron
- My Favorite Things - The Whole Herd stamp
- Lawn Fawn - Large Stitched Rectangle Stackable dies
Staples White 110lbs Cardstock Paper
- Recollections Cardstock Paper

With Sympathy - SimonSaysStamp Wednesday Challenge: Fantastic Florals

Today, I like to share a card for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Fantastic Florals. It features the Simon Says Stamp Sketch Ranunculus and Handwritten Borders stamp set along with an adorable bunny from Mama Elephant's Pix's Favorites stamp.
I used a stamp positioning tool to double stamp the floral images. Working one colour at a time, I first stamped with Memento ink and then stamped with the Versamark watermark ink so I can use clear embossing powder and heat set it. This makes the colours more vibrant so the flowers really stand out.
I stamped the bunny from Mama Elephant's Pix's Favorite stamp set using Versafine Onyx Black Ink, then used clear embossing powder and heat set it. Then I coloured it in with copic markers. To finish it off, I used glossy accents on the heart to make it pop and adhered it to the card with foam squares.

I cut a strip of vellum paper and stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder. To adhere it to the card, I put tiny drops of Tombow mono aqua liquid glue on the back of the sentiment and folded the sides of the vellum and taped it to the back of the panel.  That finishes off the card.
For the envelope, I used the We R Memory Keepers 123 Punch Board to create it out of orange cardstock. Then I embossed it with the We R Memory Keepers Gemstone Folder.

I hope you enjoyed this card. It was really fun making it. I'm thinking of doing another one with a different colour combination. The materials I used are listed below.

Hi everyone... It's been a while but I am back with a card for the MFT Color Challenge #63. It's an adorable card featuring the MFT Somebunny stamp set. Isn't the bunny so sweet?
Here are the colors for the challenge:
To make the card, I started off with using the largest rectangle stitched rectangle stackable die on pink cardstock to make the panel. For the background, I wanted a soft look but with some interest so I used a distress ink that was similar to the cardstock color to randomly stamped images from the MFT Somebunny stamp set.

Then I stamped the rest of the images on white cardstock and coloured it in with copic markers. I cut the images out and adhered the images onto the panel with 3D foam squares then added wink of stella and glossy accents on top.
For the sentiment, I used Versamark ink and white embossing powder on dark teal cardstock. Then I trimmed it to make it look like banners. As a final touch a added, tiny heart sequins and two large clear circle sequins to balance it out.
I hope you enjoyed this card. Below are the materials I used:
