Hay There! - SimonSaysStamp Wednesday Challenge: Mask It

I am on a roll this week with cardmaking. Here are 4 smaller square cards created for the SimonSaysStamp Wednesday Challenge: Mask It.

The idea was to have the pile of hay in front and have the animals behind it so its like they are popping out to yell surprise. The sentiment 'Hay There' is so perfect for this theme.

I used the MFT Pierced Square Die to cut the white cardstock paper then I stamped the hay on the paper as well as the post-it note to use as my mask. I also masked the party hats on the goat and horse. I coloured all the images with copic markers and adhered it to a bright colour cardstock folded tent style.

Materials used on these cards:
- My Favorite Things Die-namics Pierced Square Stax
- My Favorite Things The Whole Herd stamp set
- Lawn Fawn Party Animal stamp set
- Copic Markers
- Post-it notes Full Adhesive
- Recollections Cardstock Paper

Happy Shower! - SimonSaysStamp Monday Challenge

Hi Everyone

I'm back with another card...actually 2 cards created for the SimonSaysStamp Monday Challenge: MONOCHROME!!!!!

This challenge gave me the idea to create a baby shower card. One for a boy and the other for a girl, so I went with traditional Pink and Blue tones. Voila, here is what I came up with.

I used the 2 largest Stitched Rectangle stackable dies from Lawn Fawn to die cut the polka dot paper and cardstock. The smaller rectangle cardstock pieces were stacked together so I can use the Puffy Cloud border to cut it at the same angle. Having the border stitched markings made it really easy to line it up straight to form the rectangle again. The clouds were die cut and distressed with distress ink.

The umbrella and character are from Mama Elephant's Up & Away stamp set. They were stamped, embossed and coloured in with Copic Markers. I didn't have the coordinating dies so I had to manually cut it out myself leaving a white border around it. For the tiny bow, I didn't leave a border as I wanted it to look like it was part of the character. I cut a slit in the character's hand to tuck a bit of the base of the umbrella so it looked like it was holding it. Then I adhered it to the card using 3D foam squares so it looked like it was floating in the sky. Lastly I sprinkled the sky with diecuts of hearts and mini dots.

Materials used on both cards :
- Lawn Fawn - Large Rectangle Stackables
- Lawn Fawn - Puffy Cloud Borders
- Mama Elephant - Up & Away stamp for the umbrella, bunny and fox.
- Lawn Fawn - Little Bundle stamp set for the sentiment and mini heart
- Mama Elephant - Rainbow High Creative Cuts for the clouds
- Mama Elephant - Confetti Die for the hearts and dots
- Lawn Fawn - Love n' Breakfast for the bow
- Zing! Clear embossing powder
- Versafine Onyx Black Pigment Ink for the sentiment
- Staples 110lb White Cardstock
- Recollections 'Bold Basics' Paper Pad for the polka dot paper
- Recollections 'Dreamy' Cardstock Paper
- Copic Markers
- Scrapbook Adhesives 3D Foam Squares - Small
- TomBow Mono Aqua Liquid Glue

Materials used on the Pink Bunny Card:

- Lawn Fawn - Plastic Flamingo Ink for the bunny and umbrella
- Versamark Ink
- Spun Sugar Distress Ink for the clouds

MFT Sketch Challenge 282 - Chirpy Chicks

Happy Monday!

Here is a simple card to participate in this week's MFT Sketch Challenge.

This is the sketch for this week's challenge.

I know Easter is over but I just bought this Lawn Fawn Chirpy Chirp Chirp stamp and this gave me a chance to use it. Unfortunately, I didn't use any MFT products for this challenge but these chicks are overloaded with cuteness.

It was a simple card to make. I had a lot of fun colouring the chicks in with Copic markers. They reminded me of Peeps marshmallows. I glued on the bunny hats and cotton tail. I stamped the sentiment with three different coloured Memento inks and then stamped it again with VersaMark ink to emboss it. Afterwards I embossed the white background with the We R Memory Keepers Dots embossing folder and glued on the chicks.

MFT Color Challenge #45 - Thank Mew

I am so excited to share with you my entry for the My Favorite Things Color Challenge #45.

This challenge features the 4 vibrant colors below.

The stamps used were taken from the MFT Cool Cat stamp set and colored in with spectrum noir and copic markers. I used the flower pot stamp to create the flower bed. Stamping only half of the vase on each side and then connecting the lines with a black copic multiliner. The flowers were masked off and stamped multiple times. I had to fill in the stems and leaves with the copic multiliner. I also added in a smaller sized flower from a Lawn Fawn stamp set.

The speech bubble and heart were taken from the Lawn Fawn Chirpy Chirp Chirp and Hello Sunshine stamp set. All were coloured in with spectrum noir and copic markers.

Thank you for stopping by.

Love Is In The Air for Pandas

It's love in the air. Wedding season is upon us and that means it's time to make a lovey, dovey wedding card. :)  Congratulations on the newly weds, Jolly and Annie. This special card was made for them.

I used the Mama Elephant's Pandamonium stamp set for this. The pandas are so cute together in their wedding attire. The Top Hat and Bowtie were embossed in Gold Glitter and the flower on the panda's head is embossed in Red. The Rose is stamped with Memento Lady Bug and Bamboo Leaves ink. Lastly, all were outlined and coloured in Ranger's Glossy Accents to give it some dimension. The heart sequins in the banner was die cut with Mama Elephant's Confetti Die.

I wanted the envelop to feel some love as well. So I used Lawn Fawn's Violet's ABCs to stamp the names on the card and then embossed the envelope with We R Memory Keepers' Heart embossing folder. It will definitely be distinct from all the other envelopes.

The Materials used on this card:

Mama Elephant - Pandamonium
Top Hat - Mama Elephant - Three Amigos
Bowtie - Sweet Stamp Shop - Too Hip
Rose - from Mama Elephant - Up and Away and stamped with Memento Lady Bug and Bamboo Leaves Ink
Flower - Lawn Fawn - Chirpy Chirp Chirp
Lawn Fawn - Violet's ABCs
Mama Elephant - Confetti Die
Gold Sequins
Ranger - Glossy Accents
Versafine Black Pigment Ink
Zing! Gold Glitter Finish Embossing Powder
Zing! Clear Embossing Powder
Zing! Rouge Embossing Powder
We R Memory Keepers Next Level Heart Embossing Folder
Recollections Cardstock Paper - Black & Red & White

Thank You Fairy Much Mom!

Hi Everyone

Here is the Mother's Day card I created using Lawn Fawn's Fairy Friends stamp set. It's so cute and whimsical and perfect for this special occasion.

I used copic markers to colour in the fairy and flowers. To make it look like the fairy is holding the flower, I used an x-acto knife to cut part of the fairy's arm and outlined the edges with a black marker to make it look complete. The chevron frame and the front hill is propped up with foam to give it dimension.

These are the materials I used:

- Border Frame - Paper from Recollections Chevron Cardstock paper and cut with Double Stitch Diecut from AliExpress
- Polka Dot Hills - Paper from Recollections Primary Pin Dot Cardstock paper and cut with SimonSaysStamp Stitched Slopes and Hills
- Flowers & Fairy - Coloured with Copic Markers: RV00/RV21/RV13V04/V06/V09Y11/Y13/Y35YR04/YR07/R14/R29
- Background - Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Twisted Citron, Squeezed Lemonade and Worn Lipstick
- Thank you - Versafine Onyx Pigment Ink and Zing Clear embossing powder

The same technique is used on this card.
